Beyond the Bricks is owned by Russell Reed, a home inspector who has been working in the field and who has been involved in the engineering and construction industry for most of his life. Russell truly loves that his job as a home inspector allows him to help people as they navigate one of life’s most important decisions – the purchase of a home. With his lifetime of knowledge, he guides his clients in the right direction as they prepare themselves for homeownership, repair, and proper maintenance.

It is rare to find a home inspector who cares so deeply about his clients and their priorities, and Russell wants to fill that hole in the industry by keeping his clients’ concerns at the front of his mind at all times. Outside of his career, he loves fishing, spending time outdoors, staying in shape, and traveling.

Before becoming a licensed professional home inspector, Russell worked for 30 years in the engineering and construction industries. For most of his life, construction was a major part of his everyday routine and is something he remains passionate about to this day. He is incredibly knowledgeable about how the systems and components in a home work, how they often need to be repaired, and how they can be maintained through responsible homeownership.

Because of this knowledge and his desire to help people, Russell discovered that a career as a home inspector was a natural fit for him. Now, he gets to use everything he knows about home construction to help his clients avoid money pits, request the repairs that are in their best interests, and understand how to approach homeownership with confidence.
